Right now, there are only a couple of forum categories… I'll create more just as soon as soon as we figure out what we need. (Better a small number of forums and add more as required than to start with many categories and nobody posting in them.)

I would one day LOVE to be called Prolific (maybe not capitalized, but hopefully descriptive), but alas for now at least, the Void has brought an odd sort of … neutrality … to the whole thing.

Thanks for the welcome, though. Hadn't been very active on the Yahoo Group, I'll admit - but I've mostly kept track via the e-mails "on the sidelines" I suppose.

I don't have any particular issues with forums, personally. I DID seem to have one HELL of a time with the Yahoo group thing, though - not COMPLETELY sure I ever did figure out a way to just message one person - seemed like it all just ended up cluttering things for everyone else - sorry! 0_0
So I don't mind the forums - it'll take some getting used to from what I've used before, but doesn't exactly seem like rocket science either - so hey!

Hey all, I just joined this site, via a reference from Carl on the wizards community forum. I have lived here with my wife in Wichita for about a year, and have not had any solid opportunities to do any gaming. I am a fairly experienced 3.5 GM (I GM'ed numerous campaigns for something like six years solid with my play groups in Emporia), and I play MTG whenever I get the opportunity, which is few and far between these days. I am still not sure about 4e D&D, though I here a lot of great things; I think that I just need an opportunity to play it (I had a short stint DMing 4e, and felt a little restricted). To sate my gaming addiction, I have been putting together some MTG posts on blogger, which I hope will act as rough draft notes for some eventual e-books. Glad to meet you all, and I hope to be able to hook up with some gaming.

Well, I know that it is going to be pretty difficult, as my days off of work are Tuesday and Wednesday. I was down at the newly relocated Agents of Comics yesterday afternoon, btw the location is a great improvement, and I am pretty sure that if I GM, I would look to hold it there. I used to hold gaming sessions at my place, back in Emporia, but I am married and live in a small apartment now. I have learned over time, that a neutral location has big advantages. So, if anyone knows of gamers available on these days, please let me know.

I also mentioned above that I do a lot of blogging on MTG. I know that Magic is on a little bit of a down-hill slope right now, but I also would like to do some blogging on general and specific GMing strategy for D&D. I have a lot of theories and strategies that I have developed and implemented over time, and writing them down and getting them out there will help me to share and refine them. I could start a new blog on blogger, but I am wondering if a new forum or thread here would be better for networking (especially with the opportunity to actually meet some of the readers). Anyhow, just a thought. Thanks for the warm welcome all.
